After 3 hours on the phone with an incomprehensible CS agent (very heavy accent) who tried to sell me something (I think) I decided to try the soundbar on a couple of other computers-same issue. So, I returned it to Amazon on the assumption that the soundbar is faulty. I'm trying another option-a Bluetooth speaker by Anker. It's unobtrusive (I hate big, clunky things) and sits very nicely on the monitor stand. Right now it's charging, so I'll know more when I actually try to use it. While I have not been able to solve the AC 511 Soundbar issue I do know the problem is in the USB port on the back of the monitor that provides power and supposedly sound to the Soundbar, the monitor is receiving sound based on my research, the USB port however does not have the correct configuration to match the sound being sent from the computer, it is a USB sound port issue, there is nothing wrong with the Soundbar. This is a known problem through numerous rounds with MS tech. ![]() ![]() ![]() Support with the current status of 'currently being assessed'. ![]() Hope your switch to a different speaker works, if you don't have to use the port on the monitor it may well work fine. Yes, I too tried soundbar in every USB (2 or 3) on the box, to no avail. ![]()
